The Different Activities You Engage In During Team Building Events In Orange County

By Leslie Ball

In any normal working situation there will never come a time that you will work alone. You will have to report to someone or have people report to you. As a manager you will have a group of people that you will need to oversee. They shall all have to work as a group and they need to be very cooperative in order for them to reach their set objectives. During team building events in Orange County there are many activities that you can all engage in.

So that your main objective can be achieved you must have a goal in mind. There are several reasons that you might go for these activities. You might have a new team and you want them to know each other. It might even be you want to create trust within your group or simply the fact that you want them to be motivated at work. Whichever reason one might have choosing Orange County, CA is a wise step.

There are some skills that your group might be lacking or they are very poor. One of them is the communication skills between the members. This should be worked one. There is an activity that is usually known as back to back drawing that is great for this. They will do this activity in pairs. You can pair them up yourself of ask them to choose their partner.

When they have done this they therefore have to sit down not facing each other but with their backs touching. Randomly pick one of them and give them an object. Let them study it. To the other partner hand him a pen as well as a paper. The activity will involve drawing like the name suggests. The one with the shape should describe the object they are holding to their partner as he or she draws it. They can latter compare the actual object and the drawing.

You can use also the survival scenario. How this works is that you give them a situation. Like they were on a plane and it has just crushed in the ocean. They are the only survivors and they need to get to dry land. They have a boat and it is actually large enough for all of them.

The twist is that they can only take a number of items say twelve to the dry shore. This is the interesting part since they will have to discuss as a group the items they think are essential for their survival. They will have to rank them in order to know what to take and what to take with them.

Trust is crucial in any group. For a group to function they will need to rely on the other members and this will take trust. They should therefore have trust in each other and this can be done by the activity called the human spring.

After they are paired you will ask them to face one another. Then they shall hold their hands up and let their palms touch. Then you will ask each individual to move their feet further away from their partner as possible such that they will rely on their partner for support.
