Orange Bulk Juice Concentrate -Or Fresh

Everyone knows orange juice is a great way to get more vitamins (Especially vitamin C) and a quick, tasty way to get more fruit into your system. But does the lower cost juice from concentrate offer the same benefits as the type made from pressed or fresh fruit, or should you always by your own and make your Bulk Juice Concentrate -?

It is well known that uric acid buildup in the blood, past the point that the individual person with gouty arthritis can handle, can bring on a gout attack. A compound known as anthocyanins in cherries has been found to help with the reduction of uric acid levels in the body. Anthocyanins is the compound that actually gives cherries their bright red color. This magical compound has been found to provide many more health benefits than just uric acid reduction when taken on a daily basis.

According to the latest studies, it has been well proved that micro-nutrient dense concentrate of many fruits and vegetables eliminates the greater risk of chronic diseases. The concentrates of fruits such as oranges, papayas, pineapples, cherries and others assist to boost the level of micro-nutrients.

This is where black cherry juice comes to the rescue. You can get the same amount of anthocyanins in about two tablespoons of high-quality product. Notice I said high quality? I wasted a lot of money trying to save money with lower quality juice concentrates. These lower quality brands simply did not work with relieving my gout pain. I came close to giving up on it. Boy I'm glad I didn't.

Some major Benefits: Nothing is more nutritive than a fresh fruit extract. But once the liquid part is extracted from these vital foods, you can ingest and consume up to 99 percent of the food value even if you have poor digestion.

However, to make fruit extract concentrate into a production-friendly sweetener, it has to go through a lengthy and expensive process called "stripping." As the name implies, everything is stripped out of the extract: vitamins, minerals, color, flavor, etc. Then it goes through a deionization process similar to the one that turns cornstarch into corn syrup.

How much should you take? For me, two tablespoons each day works great. For others, two teaspoons a day works fine. Some gout sufferers find it takes more than two tablespoons a day. You have to do a little experimenting to find out how much you need to take to reduce the frequency and duration of your gout attacks.

How can you tell if the product you buy has stripped extract concentrates or not? Manufacturers are not required to disclose how much of their extract concentrates are stripped, so there is no effective way to know. However, a good rule of thumb is this-if you can't taste the fruit it has been concentrated from, then the concentrates has probably been stripped. The next time you reach for that raspberry extract blend, whose primary ingredient is pear extract from concentrates, you can pretty much guarantee that the pear extract has been stripped to remove the pear flavor.
