Critiquing EV Olive Oil Products Based On Many Points

By Rob Sutter

I believe it was around a month or so ago that there was a competition done with EV olive oil products being picked between one another. Initially, I didn't know much about the various qualities of such an oil, therefore I didn't know how critiquing could be done. I always wondered, though, which factors stood as the ones which varied from one another? It was a learning experience, to say the least, and I found myself becoming more aware of these products which are beneficial to one's health.

EV olive oil products were seen in the contest - 653 types, if you'd like to be more exact - and they were judged based on a number of factors. Such factors may not be known to you right away, though it's apparent that authorities on the matter, Flavor Your Life included, are aware of them. There is a good number of qualities to look at in this regard as well. The aspect of taste can probably be determined rather quickly if you understand the colors which olives possess.

It's been said that green olives are some of the best when it comes to pressing for the sake of oil. These are not fully ripe, meaning that they are bitter by comparison. However, it translates well into oil, seeing as how the taste is much better and the scent has more pungency by comparison. Having a fruity or sweet aroma can help to make an olive that much better, meaning that you're going to want to search for oil pressed from green olives as opposed to others.

Keep in mind, however, that this is just one type of oil and not everyone is going to accept it as opposed to another type. There are many which can be invested in, such as ones which may not be nearly as strong when it comes to the aspect of aroma. Maybe a lighter scent is better for one's senses, even if the antioxidant levels aren't going to be as high. Regardless, it's a choice that one can make and I still believe that it'd be easy to reap the benefits that it has.

It's entirely possible to go to a bigger store in order to buy EV olive oil products but there are a couple of reasons why I'm somewhat against this. Not only do you not have the chance to try it to see how it tastes but many of them are not stored in darker bottles, which can kill the aforementioned antioxidants rather quickly. Consider the possibility of going to stores which sell this oil especially. You may access to sampling and I strongly recommend that you take advantage of it.
