It is the most popular cuisine in the world and is best known for having a great level of regional diversity and is rich in taste.

Italy-style cuisine began right after the decline of the Roman Empire. During this time cities separated and started their own traditions. Among the results of this separation was opening up of the first Italian restaurants in Athens Rome. This establishment served mainly rice, spinach and almond. The establishment expanded with time.

After sometime they introduced spaghetti, casseroles, salt cod among others. Since refrigeration did not exist hence the fish was mostly smoked or salted in order to preserve it. Traditionally, an Italy-style meal contain between four to five courses. The restaurants are built for majorly families since they often see meals as a way of spending time with the family rather than just sustenance. They uphold the family spirit and hence they are very joyous.

In the current world people serve this type of cuisine in weddings and special occasions. It is viewed as the most exotic type of cuisine. An everyday menu usually includes the first and second course then a side dish and coffee. The first course is normally a more satisfying dish like pasta.

In the northern part of Italy a blend of coffee beans roasted medium to medium dark is used in making their style of coffee. However, people in the south prefer their coffee made with deep roasted blend of coffee beans. In these restaurants the wine consumed there is produced from Italy. As it happens, Italy is largest worldwide exporter and producer of wine. Incidentally, this country is also a big consumer of wine.
