Try Sriracha Uses Recipes For Boring Reduced Calorie Meals

By Shirley Baker

When it comes to cooking every day, or even every other day, it can easily turn into a mundane experience. The best way to tell is when a person has exact measurements memorized for every meal they are likely to prepare. Although being prepared is nice and can come in handy after a long day, no one wants to have a predictable meal all of the time. One way to make subtle change is to try chipotle, garlic or sriracha uses recipes that can be made in little time.

All it comes down to is planning and making reasonable substitutions. This may seem like a reach for the busy person but to anyone who enjoys cooking, this can actually be fun. When the mission is to find a way to make old dishes healthier, this may lead to eating habits that can last a lifetime and certainly pay off.

If a person knows how to mix ingredients, they can simply add one teaspoon per serving. This is an approximate measure but if an individual appreciates spicy dishes, they can even add as much as a quarter of a single cup instead. However, it is fair to say that if a person is unfamiliar with a particular taste, they may want to start off by adding a small amount on the side of a dish.

This is also a good way to learn the flavor profile. When garlic is oven roasted, it takes on a buttery consistency that is great for many pasta or grain based meals. Some people will incorporate their favorite barbecue sauce into meatloaf because they like to have that sweet smoky taste without having to fire up the outdoor grill. Although many are finding that sriracha sauce kind of ups the ante with just a little tangy heat.

Since these flavors are so intense, there is no need to add a lot when tasting for the first time. Most people add just enough to forget that a revamped meal is free of butter, gooey cheese, or deep fried starches. In addition to breakfast, these sauces can also be great for snacks and appetizers.

While its slight hint of sweetness is great on many entree and side dishes, believe it or not, some are also enjoying this as a dessert. Citrus or some tropical flavors like pineapple or mango are great companions for the tangy taste and there are even some who like to mix intense spices with nontraditional pairings like chocolate. Like anything else that is normally used on savory dishes, it helps to either be familiar with flavors or follow a recipe carefully.

Sometimes adding new flavors to dips makes it easier to add to regular meals. Sour cream dips are the best receptors for potato or tortilla chips. Another idea would be to add sriracha or chipotle salsa to a layer dip, as it can be enjoyed alone or slightly mixed in with the other ingredients.

Whether the choices are temporary or permanent, it also helps to learn more than one way of preparing a favorite dish. This may apply to any protein, complex starch or vegetable. Most people find grilling pans to be a real asset since it allows it carmelize or create grill marks but the excess fat stays in the pan and not on the food.
