You Can Go To Fun Wine And Painting Classes To Meet And Create

By Marissa Velazquez

There is a large and ever growing number of people going to fun wine and painting classes around the country. These parties happen in many different locations such as bars, taverns and private homes. Some of them are bring your own wine type and others are restricted by local regulations, such as many of the regular establishments that serve these drinks anyway.

While attending one of these parties, people do not have to be overcome by any hangovers the next day. The possibilities for networking are greater than moving from bar to bar as well. All of the people at these parties are brought together because of their desire to learn or rediscover a talent they wish they had or used to have.

Knowing what is involved will help you gain a better perspective on what happens at one of these parties. The bar or person putting the class on will provide all of the painting supplies. The canvasses, easels, paints, brushes and cleaning supplies will all be made available. The wine and, occasionally, beer and soft drinks will be on hand as well. The entry price will cover all of this.

What makes it the enjoyable evening that it is will be the local artist hired for the party. Each one will have their own perspective on art and their own specific genre they practice. The evening is run by them as they work with each of the attendees to paint what everyone else is painting. Many people set up friendly competitions this way.

The range of topics can be from realistic depictions of people, scenes or still life to surrealistic concepts and anywhere in between. It depends on the artist and what they are into. Before signing up for a class it would be appropriate to inquire as to what artist is going to be there and what they like. The artist will introduce themselves, their subject and talk about some basics and then everyone will get down to the business of art.

Just about everyone who attends will have a different reason in mind for doing so. Many just want to go and meet with people and pursue friendships while no one is drunk. Others will want to go and drink and pretend to be interested in the painting part. Others will want to really look into the expansion of this talent or skill and make something of it.

These events are advertised in the bars or taverns that host them. There are several websites that also follow them and will have a more complete list of them around the country. Others will list those that are local and all of them will allow you to read about the artist for a particular evening and the subject being painted. This will allow the interested party to know how to schedule.

In addition to adding a few skills to your life experiences, the opportunity to add a few friends is also very real. People come to fun wine and painting classes for a lot of reasons and meeting creative people is one of the big ones. The skills learned can apply to other areas of their lives and this is a very big draw.
